This is the renovated home of a product designer/maker based in Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan. Kawagoe is a town often referred to as “Little Edo” owing to the retained remnants of Edo-era buildings incorporated into the quaint cityscape.
Despite the limited space, (both floors take up 65㎡), the owner has dedicated a spot for this records and turntable. We love that! This is a home full of sensitive and emotional details. The entire decor was inspired by and grew from the owner’s favourite possessions. We love that too! It strikes us a down to earth and organic way to create a home rather than curating a space to then force a lifestyle into.
